Shanhe Choir in Wuxi, Jiangsu province
Shanhe Choir was established in 2000 in Wuxi, Jiangsu province with more than 80 members currently. With an adherence to team spirit, the choir tries to keep vigor even at an old age, carrying out rehearsals every week with chorus art as its carrier and works hard to make outstanding achievements.
The choir won the best musical performance award in the 2nd World Chinese Language Chorus Conference in 2006 China Dongzhou Cup and Eagle Award in the 10th National Chorus Festival for the Elderly in 2008. In April 2016 it headed for Korea for participation in cultural exchanges activities. Besides, it was a frequent performer in welfare homes and nursing homes for the old, bringing songs, laughter and greeting to the lonely old.
