Founded in March 2014, Xinhai Choir is an amateurchorus art group consisted of volunteer music lovers.It has participated in competitions and performancesat provincial and municipal levels and won many prizes. The choir won the gold medal in the 2014 the 12th Fujian Music and Dance Festival and the golden prize in the Art Performance in Ningde city and the silver award in the6th Fujian Art Festival Chorus Competition in 2015.
It was awarded the Special Award of Merit in the 9th Chinese Cross-strait Chorus Festival and the third prize of the first Fujian Provincial Cities Chorus Art Festival in 2016. In 2017 on behalf onNingde city at the the invitation of the provincial museum of art, it performed in the chorus event to mark the 90th Anniversary of the birth of Amy Day .
