Established in October 2011Hainan Orchid Philharmonic Choir is a group with members from all walks of life. It has performed in various competitions in many occasions and obtained achievements.
In May 2012it won the gold medal in chorus contest themed Singing the National Labor Day held by Hainan Federation of Trade Union. In the same yearit was invited to perform in Nagoya,Japan. In May 2013it was awarded A-grade prize in Austria chorus contest themes on Singing the Five Continents. In May 2014Orchid Choir performed for cultural exchanges in New Yorkthe United States of America. In 2015a gold medal was awarded in Sanya International Overseas Chinese Chorus Festival. It won silver medals in Chinese Southern International Chorus Week in 2013 and 2015.
It host two successful consecutive big chorus concerts in 2016 and 2017namely themes on the 80th Anniversary of the Red Army’s Victory of the Long March and the 75th Anniversary of Chairman Mao’s speech at the Forum of Art and Literature in Yan’an.
